BRAC International is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position:

Programme Specialist, Education

The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance in proposal development, resource mobilization; review programme, donor and monitoring reports; support and maintain coordination with education teams in BI countries. The position is reportable to the Programme Head, Education, BRAC International and work closely with the education teams in BRAC International countries. Job responsibilities include but not limited to the following -

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in resource mobilization for education programmes in BRAC International countries
  • Project opportunity search, assist in project proposal drafting and design for the BRAC International countries
  • Provide technical support to the education projects of BRAC International with the consultation of supervisor such as work plan, supplementary materials, reporting tools , evaluation tools, training modules and checklist formation
  • Country report analysis and provide feedback to programme anchor
  • Programme progress monitoring and quality check through coordination
  • Assist to develop sustainability plan for the education programmes/projects
  • Maintain cross country communication of Education programmes/projects
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Educational Requirements: Master’s in Education/ Development Studies/ Social Sciences or any relevant subject from an accredited university.

Required Competencies:

  • Knowledge about current trends of youth
  • Good command in English both written and oral
  • Analytical, organisation, and interpersonal & communication skills
  • Possess professional attitude and diligence and able to work independently as well as work in a team
  • Culturally sensitive and  comfortably work with diverse workforce
  • Ability to effectively work remotely, across time zones
  • Willingness to often travel to BRAC International countries

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in education sector/ relevant field
  • Experience in donor reporting and donor liaison
  • Experience in proposal development and grant management

Employment type: Regular / Contractual
