Senior ESG Specialist, ESG and Sustainable Finance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the application and approval process for green refinancing from Bangladesh Bank.
Oversee Treasury operations related to claiming foreign DFI funds aligned with ESG requirements.
Develop and monitor implementation of Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) frameworks across the bank.
Lead the preparation of Sustainability Reports in accordance with PCAF, GRI, and ISSB guidelines.
Oversee the preparation of IFRS S1 and S2 reports, ensuring compliance with international standards.
Conduct quarterly reporting to Bangladesh Bank on the bank’s green and sustainable finance portfolio.
Manage and maintain relationships with clients, Bangladesh Bank, DFIs and other key stakeholders.
Mentor and provide guidance to the Sustainable Finance team to enhance operational and strategic capabilities.
Represent BRAC Bank in national and international sustainability forums and conferences.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Post Graduation/Graduation from a UGC-approved university with a satisfactory academic track record
Minimum 6-12 years of working experience preferably in sustainable finance, ESG integration or development finance.
Demonstrated knowledge of international ESG reporting standards and sustainable finance frameworks (TCFD, PCAF, GRI, ISSB, ICMA).
Professional sustainability-related credentials will be an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Good negotiation skills with different stakeholders
Expert in customer centricity, ownership & delivering results, integrity, collaboration and developing others.
