Associate Manager/Manager, Concurrent Audit
Employment Type: Full -time
Job Grade: SO/PO/SPO
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform concurrent audit, pre-audit and spot audit/inspection as per audit calendar and/or management requirement
Review the compliance, adequacy, and efficacy of internal controls over relevant processes, policies, guidelines, best practices, circulars, etc., in terms of internal and regulatory requirements.
Review the management of key risks to ensure that controls have been implemented and are being monitored.
Manage effective and prompt audits by maintaining cordial relationships, cooperation and communications.
Preparation of audit program, draft audit report with required workings and relevant documentation
Keeping updated about banking knowledge, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, circulars, auditing standards, changing/ amendment of law/regulations, etc.
Assist in the preparation of the annual risk-based audit plan.
Participate and supervise any other special assignment/special audit/investigation/field visit/surprise visit as assigned by the supervisor.
Demonstrates critical, strategic mindset and leads and supports change.
This role will require travelling.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a UGC-approved university with a satisfactory academic track record, preferably in Banking, Accounting, Finance, or Management/Management Information Systems.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal audit functions, preferably in the banking or financial institute.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of treasury and financial institutions, trade operations, payments, loan documentation, anti-money laundering, risk management, and risk-based audit methodologies, with a solid grasp of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Skilled in analyzing financial documents, detecting discrepancies, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Proficient in using banking software and MS Office tools for audits and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-propelled, customer-centric, team player, and capable of meeting deadlines.
