The individual will play a key role in leading the Information Systems & Vigilance Audit Team, ensuring the integrity, reliability, and security of our information systems and technology infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise the Information Systems & Vigilance Audit team.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously update a comprehensive Information Systems & Vigilance Audit strategy that aligns with the bank's overall objectives and regulatory requirements. This includes creating detailed audit plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Perform thorough risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential threats to the bank's information systems and IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the execution of all IT audit engagements, including but not limited to systems development, IT operations, data privacy, cybersecurity, and third-party service providers. Ensure audits are conducted efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with established audit standards.
  • Design and implement robust audit testing procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, data integrity, and system security.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive audit reports that outline findings, risks, and recommendations. Communicate audit results to senior management and other stakeholders through presentations and meetings.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure that corrective actions are taken and risks are mitigated. Provide guidance and support to management in addressing audit findings.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Ensure that the bank's information systems and IT operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the audit process, IT governance, and internal controls.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance the audit function.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled IT audit professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth within the audit department.
  • Work closely with other departments, including IT, Risk Management, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to information systems audit and risk management.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from a UGC approved university with a satisfactory academic track record. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or similar are highly preferable.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS), Global Technology Audit Guide, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-propelled, proficient in customer-centricity, team player, and capability to meet deadlines
