BRAC Bank seeks an ambitious, intelligent, purpose-driven, and enthusiastic individual for the following position in it Process Automation and R&D team of Technology Division:

Associate Manager-Senior Manager, R&D (AI and ML)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models to solve complex business problems such as credit scoring, OCR/ICR, fraud detection, and customer segmentation etc.
• Work on large-scale datasets to train and fine-tune models for specific applications.
• Monitor the performance of deployed models and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functioning
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of model development processes, methodologies, and results
• Ensure that all AI/ML initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in the banking industry
• R&D on latest technology
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, especially in ML, NLP, LLMs, and computer vision
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to the development of the AI/ML strategy for the bank, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's knowledge base

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university recognized by UGC is preferred. Degrees in CSE, EEE, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field are also preferred
• Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience in AI/ML with a focus on  NLP, LLMs, and/or computer vision etc.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities and communication skills to address business challenges using AI/ML solutions
• Proven track record of successful AI/ML projects, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, is a plus
• Experience in developing RPA/Automation solution is a plus
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and statistical modeling
• Experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models
• Proven track record of successful AI/ML projects, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services is a plus
• Expert in customer centricity, team player, and keen to develop others
