Associate Manager/ Manager, Risk Management Unit

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policy & Risk Management Framework
- Ownership of the Operational Risk Framework and build upon the existing processes to enhance and further embed the culture and governance pertaining to operational risk within the business
- Facilitate bank wide risk management in coordination with respective stakeholders, unit heads & business partners
- Identify gaps by using various risk management tools, e.g., forward-looking risk assessment, regulatory risk review, etc.
- Lead root cause analyses of operational risk / loss events across the business to ensure appropriate remediation where issues or trends emerge
- Conduct risk assessments on various projects running in the bank. Visit different units as and when required
Risk Awareness
- Perform risk-based awareness sessions, workshops & training for existing staff & new joiners including team members. Conduct risk distribution workshops across / distribution network ROC & other units
Process, Policies & PPG Framework
- Understand the requirements of the departments & identify the gaps in process, policy & PPG requirements; review the policies, process & PPG from ORM perspective
- Ensure that all policies, processes& PPG s are up to date & with no control design gaps.
Automation of Risk Management Systems & Projects
- Explore opportunities for risk automation by using system tools & involving innovation studio
- Contribute to process improvement by ideation & actively participating in the execution; act as a project manager for various projects aimed at automation / tech-enablement of risk management systems
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post Graduation/Graduation from a UGC-approved university with a satisfactory academic track record
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in operational risk management or a related field
- Any professional certification would be an added advantage such as CFA/FRM/CERM/ISO certification in risk management area/ etc.
- Proven track record of effectively managing and mitigating operational risks
- Experience in developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in customer centricity, self-propelled, and capable of meeting deadlines.
