BRAC Bank is currently looking for an ambitious, intelligent, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic individual for the following position in its Legal & Recovery Division:

Officer- Manager, Legal & Recovery Division

Job Location: Outside of Dhaka
Grade Level: OG I – SPO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vetting of Property Documents, General Agreements, Charge Document, SLA, MoU and providing legal opinion
  • Preparing Deed of Mortgage, Power Deed, TPA, Redemption, Revocation deeds etc.
  • Ensure filing and disposal of cases under NI Act, Arthorin Adalat Ain and others appropriate forum in Lower and Apex Courts
  • Maintain case related MIS and ensure proper regulatory reporting
  • Furnishing legal opinion on litigated matters for various functions of the Bank
  • Contributing to the overall planning, strategy and development of Legal and Recovery activities
  • Processing Warrants of Arrest and ensuring Recovery of Bail/Appeal Money from different Courts
  • Liaising with external stakeholders including Legal Counsels/Court Personnel for ensuring appropriate legal support
  • Monitoring high value Corporate Cases, Appeals, Writs, Stays, Revisions etc in Lower and Apex Courts

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Laws LL.B. (Hon’s), and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from any reputed university
  • Candidates will get preference who are enrolled as advocate of Bangladesh Bar Council and/or Supreme Court of Bangladesh
  • Must have minimum CGPA 3.00 (Out of 4.00) at both graduation and post-graduation levels and minimum CGPA 4.00 (out of 5.00) at SSC & HSC Level.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum 2 -5 years’ experience in relevant field in reputed Banks/ NBFIs/Law Firms/Group of companies
  • Must have sound knowledge of court proceedings and legal documentation
  • Must have sound knowledge on Banking laws or corporate laws specially Artha Rin Adalat Ain, NI Act, Company Act, Banking Companies Act, Intellectual Property Law, Transfer of Property Act, Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure and related laws of Land
  • Clear understanding of legal principles, procedures & practices 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, work in a team and possess multitasking skills
  • Digital Readiness – Adaptation to Software and System
