Associate Manager, Risk Management Unit
Employment Type: Full-time;
Job Grade: Principal Officer;
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Risk Management:
- Identifying gaps/risk by using various risk management tools e.g. KRI, Thematic risk review, regulatory risk review, forward looking risk discussion, risk control review.
- Having sound practical knowledge on risk Management reporting e.g. Stress Testing, BASEL, ICAAP, recovery plan among others.
- Coordinating Risk Committee e.g. ERAF and ERMC.
- Liasioning with different stakeholders for risk information, risk decision and risk remediation.
- Identifying and managing risks in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders of the bank and prepare a risk pack and facilitate the risk forum.
Risk Culture:
- Identify and develop a Risk Ownership culture across the board.
- Facilitate to share of the best risk management practices across the organization.
- Assist the Divisional Head in conducting risk-based awareness sessions, workshops & training for existing staff & new joiners, including team members.
Process, Policies & PPG Framework:
- Take the initiative upfront to complete the review of an existing policy, PPG, and Process manual from the respective ownership side.
- Review the policies, process, and PPG and provide feedback on time.
- Prepare Risk Paper on New Policy/Process notes or any other issue assigned by the Divisional Head.
Risk Systems & Projects:
- Initiate/coordinate process development/any kind of automation to enhance efficiency within the team.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a UGC-approved university with a satisfactory academic track record.
- 6-7 years of experience in overall activities of Risk Management
- Sound knowledge of banking products and banking regulations, laws, etc.
- Minimum intermediate level understanding /skills in MS EXCEL, ACCESS and/or quantitative techniques/statistical technique is an added advantage.
- Any professional certification would be an added advantage such as CERM/ CFA/FRM etc.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High standard of writing and verbal knowledge of the English language.
- Self-propelled, proficient in customer-centricity, team player, and capable of meeting deadlines.
