Officer, Merchant Acquiring

Employment Type: Full Time
Job Location: Dhaka & Sylhet

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sign-up POS and QR Code merchants, set up POS terminals and QR Code stickers at the merchant’s point, and provide training to new and existing merchants;
  • Maintain strong business relationships with merchants in the assigned zone through support services for increasing merchant base and business growth;
  • Call upon merchants to demonstrate how credit/debit card acceptance can increase their sales and explain to them about merchant discount benefits, depository arrangements, and service facilities;
  • Ensure smooth acceptance of cards at the merchant points to maximize customer satisfaction;
  • Monitor merchant performance and ensure that fraud risk is minimum and all compliance factors (e.g. Merchant KYC) are accomplished properly;
  • Ensure that all merchant queries are effectively handled;
  • Actively involved in promotions and campaigns with merchants to achieve high acquiring growth for the cards business;
  • Visit merchants to promote debit and credit cards;
  • Monitor and supervise merchant support executives

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business background from UGC approved universities with satisfactory academic track record
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a relevant field;
  • Understanding of cards (Debit, Credit, Prepaid Cards, etc.) key components and business drivers;
  • Good analytical ability;
  • Proactive, passionate, and go-getter attitude;
  • Extrovert personality with good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package;
  • Self-propelled, proficient in customer-centricity, team player, and capable to meet deadlines.
