Officer/Associate Manager, Mortgage Document Support Team

Job Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate land-related documents and provide a legal opinion;
  • Prepare the mortgage and power deeds;
  • Prepare redemption of mortgage and cancellation of power deeds;
  • Communicate with enlisted panel lawyers for various legal issues;
  • Monitor and supervise panel lawyer and title search vendors;
  • Interact with business, CRM and operation departments on mortgage issues;
  • Attend court for case/suit monitoring;
  • Handle legal issues related to the bank and compliance matters, labor law, etc.;
  • Review and provide opinion on legal notices, objection letters from different concerns;
  • Compile all legal rules, laws, regulations, circulars and directives related to land laws and take necessary steps to make management and the employees concerned aware;
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Head of Legal Affairs.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LL.B (Hons) and LL.M from a reputed university with having added work experience in a prominent law chamber on documentation and litigation matters;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in loan documentation at a reputed law firm/ bank;
  • Ready to work in our different Regional Operating Centers outside Dhaka;
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bengali;
  • Strong analytical, presentation, interpersonal skills, and good team player;
  • Strong leadership quality and staff motivation skills;
  • Strong Command over Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to complete all assignments in a timely and effective manner;
  • Proficient in customer centricity, self-propelled, and adaptive to change.
