Associate Manager/ Manager Auto Loan Retail Underwriting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scrutinize, assess and review all kinds of auto and personal loan (self-employed and employee banking) proposals according to the lending guidelines and regulations of the bank;
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements throughout the assessment process;
  • Approve loans as per Delegation of Lending Authority (DLA) and identify, calculate and mitigate possible risk factors;
  • Assess client’s requirement and repayment capacity using the key financial indicators; perform phone interview/ physical visits to customers as required;
  • Ensure standard Turnaround Time (TAT) of loan processing and maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) throughout the assessment process;
  • Process all sorts of requests for re-structures/ intimation and review any other post disbursement requests of relevant loan clients following the bank’s policies and regulations;
  • Review existing Program Policy Guidelines (PPG), and policy and recommend changes subject to market variables and regulatory requirements;
  • Recommend, execute and assist other stakeholders in process improvement;
  • Assist in specific projects/tasks as assigned by management;
  • Monitor and review portfolio trends and overdue analysis and share the findings with management;
  • Prepare training material and presentation and conduct training/ knowledge sharing sessions for credit analysts and business channels;
  • Provide support during external and internal audits and inspections.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA/ Master’s Degree in relevant field would be preferable from a UGC-granted university or an internationally accredited university;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Underwriting under Credit Risk Management Division will be preferable;
  • Analytical ability, ability to the assessment of credit risk and mitigation strategy;
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, financial spread sheet analysis, and loan structuring;
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM Policy (Bangladesh Bank), credit-related circulars and guidelines (external and internal), Bank Company Act, Foreign Exchange Transaction Act, loan documentation, etc.;
  • Expertise in dealing with officials of Bangladesh Bank;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Bangla and English;
  • Strong command over Microsoft Office Package;
  • Self-propelled, proficient in customer-centricity, team player, and capable of meeting deadlines.
