BRAC Bank is currently looking for an ambitious, intelligent, goal-oriented, enthusiastic individual for the following position in its Corporate Banking Division

Head of Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the commercial segment of business in line with the bank’s growth strategy;  
  • Formulate business strategies and roadmap to achieve the budget set forth for the segment;
  • Achieve targets in terms of clients onboarding, portfolio growth, and revenue contribution from the commercial segment; 
  • Build a prospective list of clienteles under commercial segment in line with bank’s risk appetite;
  • Develop an inspiring commercial banking team with competent knowledge, skills, and attitude; 
  • Supervise overall commercial segment business in terms of business acquisition, customer relationship, and portfolio management;
  • Ensure client visits to existing and potential customers and take hold of the highest customer mindshare; 
  • Ensure smooth client service, develop new products and tailored services suited for the commercial business segment; 
  • Ensure effective processes and controls are in place so that sound portfolio quality and compliance requirements are achieved;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor(s).

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate from any reputed university with a satisfactory academic track record; having an MBA will be an added advantage;
  • Should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in banks/FIs, with at least 6 years of experience in commercial banking;
  • Should have the ability to formulate and implement effective business plans, direct team resources to achieve targets, and identify potential business opportunities for portfolio growth;
  • Should have the necessary knowledge on credit norms, products, industry insights, and commercial banking business models;
  • Should have track records of completing working capital and term financing deals with prominent commercial accounts;       
  • Should be conversant with regulatory guidelines/policies as well as laws and practices for lending as well as recovery;
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills;
  • Expert in customer centricity, results oriented and self-propelled;
  • Ability to lead a dynamic team, capability to meet deadlines and keen to develop others.
