BRAC Bank’s Finance division manages Bank’s balance sheet of BDT 446 billion and divided into 3 main areas – financial control, taxation and regulatory reporting and business planning and analysis. Performance Management will be a new vertical and will be responsible for monitoring productivity of 3,600+ full-time employees under sales and collection functions, best practice identification & implementation and ensuring adequate sales behavior. Being department head, s/he will be required to demonstrate necessary leadership traits to lead an agile team as well as to ensure cross-functional co-operation. The Head of Performance Management will report to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Management:

  • Synchronization between strategic and operational sales management levels by establishing firm feedback loops to increase the internal efficiency;
  • Focused on cross-business unit governance, working with Business Heads, Sales Managers, and various Pre- and Post-Sales support stakeholders;
  • Update and develop Incentive plan documentation.

Sales Performance Management:

  • Establishes and tracks performance objectives for team members; manages and evaluates staff performance (e.g. ESAU model) to established objectives, differentiates performance and strives to ensure that all employee achieve their respective goals;
  • Combine lagging financial KPIs with additional measures to understand the true performance drivers;
  • Monitors effectiveness of 22 incentive compensation plans, identifying opportunities to simplify and standardize programs and processes
  • Focus on proactive measurements to be able to take corrective actions in advance;
  • Align follow-up processes and performance measures to avoid over-administration and inconsistent corrective actions.

Compensation and Incentives:

  • Lead the incentive plan design process;
  • Right mix of individual compensation and incentives to motivate and retain the performers;
  • Verify and follow through, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of commission payments as outlined in the plan;
  • Resolve reconciliation issues;
  • Facilitate Internal Audit team to audit all commission payments and report findings to relevant stakeholders.

Staffing, Coaching and Training:

  • Partners with Human Resources to execute talent processes - including recruiting, employee skill development, career progression, goal setting, performance management, employee engagement and the delivery of a pay for performance culture;
  • Follow-up on coaching initiatives to ensure they create actual effects;
  • Implement a structured model to consistent trainings and coaching.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field strongly preferred;
  • Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP), FRM would be preferred, not required;
  • Expertise in sales compensation design along with a technical understanding of sales compensation plan mechanics and analysis;
  • Knowledge of key incentive compensation systems including Oracle Incentive Compensation (OIC), Enterprise Data Warehouse, Tableau, etc;
  • Advance level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel including VBA;
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, with strong organization skills and a desire to pursue continuous process improvement;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines, in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Excellent leadership, people management and organizational development skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment;
