Programme Manager, Gender Mainstreaming; Gender Justice and Diversity Programme
About the role:
We are looking for a Programme Manager for our Gender Justice and Diversity (GJD) programme. The role focuses on driving gender mainstreaming initiatives across BRAC’s programmes and enterprises through strategic guidance. Additionally, the Programme Manager will coordinate initiatives to help institutionalise gender-inclusive practices effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and design gender mainstreaming scopes, providing tailored support across BRAC's programmes, enterprises, and departments.
- Conduct gender assessments, facilitate training, and build staff capacity to address emerging issues, improve practices, and strengthen team ownership of gender goals.
- Develop frameworks and tracking mechanisms for monitoring progress, result-based reporting, and gender mainstreaming impact evaluation.
- Plan, manage, and monitor gender mainstreaming budgets, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Conduct regular field visits to identify gaps, generate reports, perform operational activities, and provide technical input for on-ground operations.
- Address workplace gender responsiveness and violence against women and girls (VAWG) through interventions and policy implementation.
- Build external partnerships, develop advocacy strategies, and uphold safeguarding standards to ensure a safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive environment.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Requirements |
|
Additional Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of gender equality issues and policies and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other productivity tools for documentation, reporting, and collaboration.
- Experience in leading large teams efficiently.
Educational Requirements:
- Masters in Development Studies/ Gender Studies/ Social Sciences or any relevant discipline from a recognised university/ institution.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development field.
