Position |

Position: Medical Officer, Emergency Response
Employment Status: Contract
Job Description:
- Provide immediate medical care to patients with diverse health conditions in flood-affected areas.
- Prescribe appropriate medications, dispense when available, and ensure referrals for specialized care when necessary.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, including paramedics, to ensure effective delivery of health services in flood-affected regions.
- Collaborate closely with government bodies, NGOs, international aid agencies, and community leaders to coordinate medical response efforts effectively.
- Monitor and identify early signs of disease outbreaks, particularly waterborne, vector-borne, and climate-induced diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dengue, malaria, and scabies.
- Demonstrate gender sensitivity in interactions with patients, community members, and team members.
- Report any safeguarding issues (e.g., harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse) involving patients, team members, and other stakeholders, while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- BMDC registration is required.

|
Compensation & Other Benefits: An attractive honorarium will be provided. BRAC will also cover food, accommodation, and local transport. |
