Purpose:
The position is responsible for the programmatic documentation, learning and reporting in collaboration with others sectors/units of Bhasan Char under the supervision of Programme Head, Bhasan Char. S/he will work for evidenc based knowledge products development, documentation and dissemination through various channels and platforms, producing publications for external audience, as well as internal documents such as donor reporting and proposals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the develop various materials for documenting the programme best practices, programmatic learnings within the programmes as well as share with internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with the sectors/units.
  • Produce materials/products supporting with evidence-based case stories and good practices based on the lessons learned from various programmatic interventions.
  • Maintain documentation management system and ensure programme’s publications are collected, registered, and shared through online and social media networks.
  • Undertake programme/ field visits to observe programme implementation, liaise closely with target groups and develop impact stories for public dissemination and reporting.
  • Assist to develop progress reports, project completion reports etc. for different projects and components of Bhasan Char as per the reporting schedules and templates.
  • Prepare different types of reports i.e. monthly, quarterly etc. both for BRAC's internal reporting and for external reporting as well.
  • Assist in developing concept note and project proposals in collaboration with other concern sectors/ units.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and any other meetings, take notes and produce meeting minutes and forward to concerned management for final editing and dissemination.

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of programme participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements: Bachelor/ Masters in Social Science/ Development Studies/ Anthropology or any discipline from any recognized university/ institute

Experience Requirement: Minimum Two (02) years of experience in documentation and reporting in development sector specially in the field of emergency context.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge on development, humanitarian and emergency response.
  • Basic knowledge on documentation and report writing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Bengali and English
  • Good command on MS Office Package MS Word, MS Excel and other basic ICT skills
