Purpose:
This position will be responsible for ensuring security and safety, Public Relations at the Bhasan Char under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Safety and Security, HCMP

  Position  

Manager/ Deputy Manager, Safety and Security (Contractual); Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme

Job Description:

  • Developing and implementing security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and assets
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate identified risks
  • Monitor and provide necessary guidelines to security staff and guards in the field to ensure quality and timely security support.
  • Coordinating with external security providers and law enforcement agencies as needed
  • Building and maintaining relationships with government officials, agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Providing analysis and recommendations on government policies and regulations to senior management
  • Attend field meetings and keep the field offices updated on new initiatives and guidelines.
  • Maintain good communication with all stakeholders in the field offices, especially with operations staff to ensure demand for security support.
  • Ensure quarterly/ semi-annually/annual fire-grilling/ training on security material uses in the field offices and warehouses.
  • Ensure minimization of security risks in Bhasan Char for the staff and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of necessary reports on overall observation of security supports and status of safety materials in the field offices.
  • Ensure regular exposure and conveying of security messages to the staff in the field offices.
  • Coordinating with government officials on issues related to the organization's operations and programme.
  • Ensure capacity building of security staff and guards and ensure 24/7 security services in the field offices.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements: Bachelor/ Master’s in any discipline from any recognised university.

Experience Requirement: Minimum 5 years of experience in Security services (retired army/ navy/ police or relevant field person is a requirement)
