Position |
|
Position: Officer, Infrastructure Development, Urban Development Programme (Project Staff)
Job Description:
- Assist for drawings & specifications in preparation of subcontractor scope. Identify and support implementation of demand based (Urban) WASH/infrastructure technologies and interventions.
- Prepare the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project.
- Continuous follow up of progress on implementing WASH/infrastructure interventions against Community Action Plan, identify opportunity/constraint, provide appropriate feedback & support to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the projects.
- Ensure quality control of the infrastructure development related work (budget, estimate, schedule, plans, worker’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Assist the community meson/worker and other project participants to provide assistance and ensure technical support.
- Prepare context specific innovations of relevant infrastructures and pilot the interventions according to local demand and based on CAP.
- Interact daily with the clients (Meson, Worker, CDO members) to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
- Assist and provide guidance to the relevant field staff, take initiative of their capacity development, and monitor and evaluate the performance of all supervisee staff.
- Insure, drive, achieve and maintain agreed quality and standard during construction for sustainability issue.
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements: Diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognized institute.
Experience Requirement:
- Three (3) years demonstrated working experience in engineering field, preferably in WASH/Infrastructures services sector.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization and negotiation skills.
- Skill in documentation, facilitation & reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, be gender sensitive, and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts.
- Awareness on political processes and protocols.
