  Position  

District Manager, Water Sanitation and Hygiene Programme (Project Staff)

Job Description:

  • Make a structured activity plan (AOP) with specific and regular micro level implementation plan and take initiative for implementing those plans.
  • Assess community need on willingness to pay with ability, indigenous knowledge/perception and practice/culture for ensuring comparatively better WASH services.
  • Organise workshops, seminars and forum to share programme activities and capacity development for programme sustainability.
  • Participate in different workshops, seminars and forum to share programme activities with a strong representative of organisation.
  • Communicate and coordinate with inter and or intra-departmental officials to exchange the knowledge for better performances of both programmes
  • Follow up and monitor the regular activities of WASH programme with various hardware support.
  • Collaborate closely with the local government administration and department of public health engineering at district level/upazila/pourashava level to avoid overlapping hardware support and share the programme activities.
  • Follow up of the activities of respective programme staff and give them direction to achieve the target with good quality.
  • Prepare daily/ monthly/periodically report as per needed.
  • Maintain records of all related activities & keeping track related organizations.
  • Ensure feedback mechanism of related shareholders specially programme participants
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements: Masters in any discipline from any recognised university/ institution

Experience Requirement: Minimum 03 years of working experience in WASH Sector

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge on development and WASH Sector
  • Proven and good understanding of community-based approaches
  • Knowledge on Financial management
  • Computer Literacy (MS-Word, Excel, power point etc.)
  • Excellent Presentation, Report preparing and Motivation Skills
  • Negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Coordination, communication and Time management skills
