  Position  

Manager, Procurement (Goods- Enterprise purchase), Procurement Department

Job Description/Responsibilities:

1) a) Purchasing goods and service according to BPGIP ensuring compliance issues as well as maintaining on time delivery to BRAC Enterprises and other affiliated subsidiaries.

     b) Look after all import / export activities of the organization, deal C&F, Bank, Insurance and Customs.

    c) Assisting the team colleagues in performing their responsibilities with thorough compliance.

    d) Supporting the direct & indirect supervisors in achieving the organizational goals.

    e) Performing 100% procurement issues in compliance with BPGIP.

    f) Ensuring maximum satisfaction of the stakeholders by providing the right products to the right customers at the right time at right place in the right condition in right quantity at right cost.

    g) Crafting procurement annual planning.

2) Ensuring issuance of 85% RFQ within 15 days for OTM, 7 days for LTM and QM.

3) Ensuring 80% payment against purchase orders within 11 days after receiving the bills & Challans.  

4) Ensuring receiving of goods in 90% cases as per deadline and specification given by the Enterprises/ Programs.

5) Maintaining a close relation with concerns programs, enterprises, accounts department and other internal & external stakeholders in order to ensuring smooth operation at lowest possible cost.

6) Conducting regular sourcing for better supply market exploration and reducing the inventory level by ensuring the lead time properly.

7) Ensuring payment of Local /foreign suppliers (in applicable cases) by procurement department.

8) Taking prompt actions for emergency purchase in emergency case and big purchase for special occasion.  

9) Preserving & presenting of 100% files for domestic and donors audit trial requirements.

10) Scrutinizing, approving and recommending the purchase documents of team members as per the financial authority of HRPP/ BPGIP.

11) Arranging yearly internal stakeholders and external stakeholders meeting (Partners' Forum) to minimize the procurement related issues. Also arranged one yearly meeting with several departments/enterprise both head office and field level staff.

12) Perform Cluster Procurement Manager (CPM) responsibilities for Programs and Enterprises.

13) Assist procurement department to meet up the transformation of BRAC to social enterprise model from predominant business model.

14) Sourcing of new potential vendors.

15) Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

16) Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

17) Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

18) Any other jobs assigned by the Supervisor.

 

  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • BBA/MBA/Equivalent from any recognized university with minimum all second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA 2.50 is acceptable

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum 5 years of Procurement / Supply chain Management experience in the areas of import / export, dealing with C&F, banks and customs
