Deputy Manager, Financial Monitoring; Finance and Accounts

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Check the debit, credit, journal and transfer voucher and other supporting documents and records
  • Check the cash book with debit, credit and transfer voucher and advance register with vouchers and ledger
  • Check the general ledger and subsidiary ledger and financial report with general ledger
  • Verify bank statement and bank reconciliation statement and fund reconciliation statement of the partner NGOs
  • Check the procurement procedure or policy, fixed assets register and stock register of the partner NGOs
  • Check staff recruitment process, personal files, salary register/ sheet, leave application leave register etc. of staff of the partner NGOs.
  • Check Tax and Vat deduction at source from salary of staff of the partner NGOs and suppliers and deposit to government fund
  • Conduct physical verification of fixed assets, medicine, stationery etc. of NGOs
  • Prepare financial monitoring report
  • Assist/ conduct financial training, workshop and meeting with partner NGOs

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters/ MBA major in Finance/ Accounting from any reputed university or institutions with minimum 2nd division/ class in all academic examinations

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is required

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Have knowledge on accounting, finance, audit, budget, Tax / VAT
  • Should be sincere, dynamic, hardworking and willing to work under pressure
  • Should have good communication skills in both Bengali and English
  • Sound knowledge on MS Office

Salary Range: Negotiable
