Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha (BNPS) is an activist women organization founded in 1986, working to establish gender equality. It strives to develop women agency at the grass-roots and contribute bringing their voices to national, regional and international levels. BNPS has been working in 12 districts of the country including Cox’s Bazar. Major focus of the organization is social, economic and political empowerment of women, preventing VAW/G and child marriage, strengthening local government, education reform, gender budget analysis and policy reforms for gender equality.

Title: Project Coordinator (Rohingya Response)

BNPS is looking for skilled and ambitious professionals for our Humanitarian Response team in Cox`s Bazar who will help us strategies, design, implement and monitor the programs. This person is overall in-charge of the program implementation, staff supervision, monitoring project activities as per work plan and maintaining the compliance & control management system, reporting and representation. Understanding on local language, communication language on local accent (vocabulary) with Rohingya community. Willingness to travel hard to reach areas and extra-hours of work.

Location: Field based ( Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar)

• Must comply with BNPS code of conduct, policies and procedures and humanitarian principle.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Project Coordinator is responsible for working closely with program facilitators, volunteers, capacity building expert, M&E and other staff of the organization.
  • Overall responsible for project implementation on the ground.
  • Responsible for high quality reporting.
  • Provide technical support to the team on project implementation and monitoring.
  • Liaise with government and other key stakeholders on the ground to ensure smooth implementation of the project and also get approvals, clearances and completion certificates from the government entity.
  • Directly reported to the Director at BNPS Central Office and at the same time to Coordinator at donor entity.

Employment Status: Full time, 6 month contract, renewable based upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Experience Requirements

  • 8 to 10 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Gender Equality, MHM, SRHR and protection in Rohingya refugee crisis.

Additional Requirements

  • Age 35 to 45 years.
  • Only women are requested to apply.
  • Experience as Project Coordinator in any humanitarian context.
  • At least 3 years professional experience working in Refugee Crisis.
  • Solid understanding of the Rohingya Crisis.
  • Ability to coordinate well with the government and other stakeholders
  • Skilled in speaking and writing in English.
  • Energy and stamina to withstand long working hours in often stressful conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fluid situation, and adapt or change priorities according to changing situations.
  • Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work.

Salary: TBDT: 65,000-67,000 (Consolidated monthly salary)
