Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) is a Media Development Organization(MDO) launched in 2000 which is  registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of Prime Minister’s Office, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Its outreach extends to local, national and international forums for Knowledge-Driven Media Development (KDMD). It is in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) accredited with World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) of the United Nations and it is also one of the winners of UN WSIS prize 2016, Champion 2017 and 2019.

BNNRC’s approach to media development is both knowledge-driven and context-sensitive, and it takes into account the challenges and opportunities created by the rapidly changing media environment in Bangladesh including community radio development giving voices for the voiceless.

BNNRC is playing pioneering role for improving recognition of the community electronic media sector (Community Radio, Community TV, Community Film) & its work in and involvement with the communities. BNNRC represent the community electronic media sector to Government, Industry, Regulatory Bodies, Media, Academia and Development Partners.

BNNRC is supported by contributions from different development organizations worldwide who share a commitment in building a free, independent and pluralistic community media of voices for the voiceless.

BNNRC now strives for the following core interventions to contribute in achieving 7th five Years Plan of Government of Bangladesh, UN World Summit on the Information Society (UN WSIS) Action Plan, and UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) through: Community Media Development (Community Radio & Community TV Community Film) for amplifying voices for the voiceless, Right to Information (RTI) for ensuring improved livelihood of the marginalized, ICT for Development for Bridging the Digital Divide in rural areas, Amateur Radio or HAM Radio for Disaster Risk Reduction, Community Film for Social Transformation.

Organizational Setting
We are looking for dynamic, proactive and strategic person to join us as the Accounts Officer BNNRC Secretariat.

The position is located in Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC), House: 9/4 Road: 2 Shamoli, Dhaka 1207. BNNRC is housed in 1500 sq. ft. full furnished apartment owned by the organization. It has all the modern office use facilities equipped with information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Position : Accounts Officer  

Job Nature      : Full Time

Academic Requirement:  Masters in Finance/Accounting with CA- CC from a well reputed Organization.
Job Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of daily financial transactions and preparing of accounting statements.
  • Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly, half yearly & yearly financial Statements.
  • Prepare and maintain requisition slips & bills.
  • Maintain Cash Book, Bank book, Subsidiary Ledger of bills receivable and bills payable to keep records of day to day expenditures and closing cash books on daily basis.
  • Ensure petty cash, cash management and cash disbursement is properly maintained.
  • Prepare and check debit, credit and other vouchers.
  • All payment voucher preparation, posting to software and take approval from management.
  • Tax and VAT related documents preparation and arrange to submit to authority.
  • Having full knowledge to conduct internal and external audit from time to time.
  • Maintain inventory system by supervising the records of all productive items & Acquisition of Fixed Assets.
  • Recording all transaction like Receive voucher, Payment voucher.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the Management time to time.
  • Proficiency in Computer applications i.e. MS Word, Excel, Power point etc.
  • Excellent experience in accounting software handling

Additional Job Requirement:

  • Minimum 2 (Two) years’ experience in accounting job.
  • Fresher’s need not to apply.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • The ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Age from 25 to 35 years  

Job Location: Dhaka
Salary: 25-30 thousand (Gross)
