Vacancy for Stores Officer

Key Responsibilities-
The position is responsible for assisting in managing stores and warehouses and in providing information to management on inventory related issues. The major responsibilities are-
- To receive all incoming materials in stores/stack yards after proper inspection as to quality and specifications and after taking of weight/measurement and that items are stored in appropriate places and are properly labeled.
- To ensure timely recording of receipts and issues in SAP stores ledger.
- To ensure timely replenishment of stock of spares by monitoring the reorder levels and placing of indents through appropriate authority to Supply Chain Department in Head Office for procurement of store items;
- To ensure delivery from stores are made against duly authorized Store Requisition Slip;
- To receive finished products from production floor as per production report and ensure their stacking as per quality and size;
- To make delivery of finished goods as per dispatch schedule and against Delivery Orders issued by the Marketing Department.
- To submit periodic reports/statements to the HO Accounts Department in a timely manner;
- To maintain the warehouse/storage area in a neat and orderly manner and ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, trolleys, weighing scales, etc.;
- Check and certify inward carriage related bills and loading/shifting/lifting bills prepared by the handling contractors;
- To ensure security and safe keeping of store items by preventing unauthorized access in stores/warehouses;
- To ensure safety in handling materials in stores and warehouses;
- Undertake any other work related to stores as may be assigned from time to time.
Skill Requirements-
- Strong organizational and good written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
- Time management skill.
Qualification Requirements-
- Bachelor/Master in business discipline;
- 2/3 years working experience in stores function in a manufacturing industry;
- Hands on ERP experience preferred;
