Bangladesh Engineering Industry Owners’ Association (BEIOA) is the apex trade body for the development of the Light Engineering sector of the country. Established in 1984, BEIOA is engaged to continual improvement of the sector through skills enhancement, policy advocacy, assist legislation and also assisting to introducing new technologies. Since, 2015 BEIOA has been receiving grants from the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, and Government of Bangladesh for imparting skills development training through its project implementation unit (PIU). The objective of the training is to create a pool of skilled work force to improve the performance and product of the industry and workshops that to contribute to the development in the light engineering sector and the country as well.

Position: Lead Trainer/Trainer (Welding)

Report To: Coordinator-Training, M&E

Job Location: Dhaka

Experiences and Activities:

Lead Trainer/ Trainer of Welding will be responsible and experience of following activities;

  • Teach and demonstrate across a range of TVET Programmes on Welding.
  • Conduct lessons, lectures and tutorials using teaching methods and develop CBLM according to CBT&A standard.
  • Undertake preparation in line with training duties associated with learning programmes.
  • Facilitate learning by the selection and development of materials and methods appropriate to trainee needs and course level according to CBT&A standard.
  • Provide training to trainees with feedback and guidance to support their learning and enhance their knowledge and progress within the constraints of assessment confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records, registers and timetables and make these available on demand to administration and external agencies.
  • Assist enrolment, counseling with job placement and induction of trainees, evaluation and other administrative and promotional tasks as required by management to support courses.
  • Conduct assessments as necessary and prepare assignment and examination questions as appropriate.
  • Adhere to institutes guidelines including those relating to Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety.

Essential Qualification & Skills:

  • Minimum qualification for Lead Trainer/ Trainer will be BSc/Diploma Engineering in Mechanical engineering from reputed public/private universities or govt. polytechnic institute based on the course or relevant discipline with minimum 2nd Division/Class at all level.
  • The Lead Trainer/ Trainer should have minimum five years training/industry experience with completion of BSc/Diploma in Engineering.
  • BEIOA-SEIP Project will give preference to the trainers those who have teaching/training experience in TVET sector.
  • During selection of Lead Trainers, female and ethnic, socially handicapped candidates etc. to be considered subject to fulfillment of above qualifications and availability.
  • Excellent Communication skills both in English and Bangla.
  • Age limit for the applicant is 25-45 years.
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Salary and Benefits: Negotiable.
