Red Cross - Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the Movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President's Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government in the Disaster Management field, BDRCS provides humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people over the last 50 years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, Rohingya response, health, capacity building, and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.
Currently, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for suitable Bangladeshi candidates for the following positions in its Bhasanchar Operation:

Roles and responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning, budgeting, and ensuring timely implementation of activities within approved budgets.
- Undertake budget planning, tracking, and updates to maintain financial accountability and address budgetary concerns proactively.
- Ensure service mapping, site planning, and infrastructure surveys are conducted regularly and updated as needed.
- Conduct continuous site monitoring to identify issues and gaps for timely repairs and maintenance, and ensure proper referral and follow-up.
- Coordinate with the RRRC Office Bhasan Char, Navy, and other service providers to address relevant concerns related to Bhasan Char camp and Rohingya people.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly situation reports as required by BDRCS and UNHCR.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of service delivery, infrastructure status, and operational challenges.
- Track, promote, and monitor the implementation of CCCM activities including SMS, EPR, Shelter, NFI, and Energy sectors.
- Lead service and field monitoring, incident tracking, and cyclone shelter mapping.
- Oversee community-led initiatives and ensure effective volunteer management.
- Conduct information dissemination and awareness-raising sessions to keep communities informed about services and any changes in camp management.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the refugee community and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective implementation of the Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) for community concerns.
- Represent BDRCS in coordination meetings with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Foster close coordination with all sectors, law enforcement agencies, the CiC, and Navy offices to ensure smooth operations.
- Facilitate high-level donor and delegation visits to the camp.
- Remain updated on security issues affecting the camp and report them to BDRCS management for timely action.
- Contribute to the project’s M&E system, ensuring regular assessments and learning integration into management decision-making.
- Conduct regular community needs assessments and adjust work plans accordingly to address emerging needs.
- Maintain extensive reporting responsibilities with strong English proficiency and analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making.
- Ensure effective implementation of CCCM (Camp Coordination and Camp Management) principles to improve service delivery, coordination, and accountability in the camp setting.
- Assist the RRRC office in camp management, planning, and verification and will work as information focal points.
Required Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills
- Master's degree in any relevant subject.
- At least 05 years of managerial experience including at least 02 years in camp management.
- Professional & technical experience matching the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of refugee law. Good knowledge of Refugee and BDRCS programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of the complexity related to refugee and IDP situations.
- Relevant educational background and knowledge of the functions of the UN.
- Experience working in Cox’s Bazar or Bhasan Char Operation will be an added advantage.
- Language Proficiency in English is a must. The ability to speak in Rohingya or the local language will be an added advantage.
