VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Red Cross - Red Crescent movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President's Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people over the last 52 years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, livelihood, health, WASH, capacity building, and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.
BDRCS, under its Population Movement Operation (PMO), has been providing humanitarian services since 2017 for the displaced Rohingya people from Rakhine state of Myanmar who have been sheltered in different camps under Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar. Currently, BDRCS is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under PMO, Cox’s Bazar:

Responsibilities:
- Establish/strengthen an effective monitoring system at PMO: provide technical guidance and support the program sectors in developing/reviewing M&E plans, KAP survey tools, and tools for other need-based surveys/assessments.
- Build/strengthen the capacities of the field staff on monitoring data collection: technical support, design and conduct training and monitoring visits, mentoring, and on-the-job training to support partners in collecting quality data.
- Strengthen accountability to MI guidelines: ensure that project/program participants are frequently consulted and that a complaint and feedback response mechanism is implemented, share best practices and lessons learned, notice implementation gaps, and suggest necessary changes/adaptations.
- Assist program leads in preparing project/program documents and reports adhering to donor’s and BDRCS’s standards.
- Participate in sector meetings, knowledge-sharing forums/events, lesson-learned workshops, learning networks, etc.
- Facilitate internal and external program evaluation providing technical and logistics support.
- With overall guidance from PMER Lead, BDRCS HQ, and PMER Manager, IFRC, Cox’s Bazar sub-office, the position will be directly supervised by Head of Operation.

- To maintain good socio-professional relationships with national and international partners
- To attend training when required
- To attend team meetings and give qualitative inputs.
- Be flexible in performing his/her duties to ensure that beneficiaries are getting good quality services.
- Strictly respect confidentiality of data, and property of beneficiaries and respect confidentiality regarding the content of clinical interviews, except when exchanging information with the medical team in charge and within a professional frame
Required Qualification:
- Minimum Graduate in Communications/Journalism/Mass Communications/MIS. Post Graduate Diploma in MEAL will get priority.
Skills required:
- Minimum three years of experience in a similar position with National or International NGOs
- Training and facilitation skills
Personal skills required:
- With expertise and experience Mental Health and Psychosocial Support field
- Fluent in Bangla and basic English.
- Capacity to communicate in Rohingya/Chittagonian language is required.
- Confidence in case identification and communication with clients.
- Work as a team player and has flexibility in his/her work.
- He/she can work independently and innovatively to develop and implement supervision and training activities that help expand community participation.
- Experience working in humanitarian emergency settings is an asset.
- An understanding of and commitment to BDRCS and RCRC movement’s mission and values.
