Red Cross - Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President's Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people over the last 50 years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, health, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.

Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position:

Job title HR Officer (Compliance & Development).
No. of position 01 (One).
Job Nature    Contractual.
Reportable to    Director - HR
Duration of contract     Initially 01 year (with possibility of extension).
Salary Range      BDT. 35,000/- (Consolidated per month).
Age Limit              35 years (age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate).
Duty station       NHQ, Dhaka.

Purpose:

We are looking for a HR Officer (Compliance & Development) to ensure our operations following all relevant legal and internal policies. The candidate will also take part the review of employees works and provide assistance on compliance issues. To succeed in this role s/he should reliable professional who is not afraid to speak their mind and stand by their decisions. S/he should be familiar with country’s service rules & regulations as well as society’s standing orders. The candidate’s goal will be to ensure the legal & ethical manners while meeting organization’s standard goals.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective compliance monitoring system.
  • Create sound internal control mechanism and follow up strict adherence to them.
  • Revise Code of Conduct (CoC) and other relevant policies.
  • Proactively participate HR audit process, practices and identify weakness.
  • Evaluate activities to asses compliance risk.
  • Collaboration with external auditors and HR development as required.
  • Set up plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
  • Trained up employees on CoC, Service Rules, Standing Orders and compliance issues.
  • Support the team to identify TNA and providing guidance.
  • Abide by and work in accordance with the RCRC principles and values.
  • Maintain an effective and harmonious working environment among partners and colleagues.

Educational Qualification and requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor degree in HRM/ Management or relevant field.
  • Professional degree like PGD in HRM will be an advantage.
  • Masters/MBA degree will get preference.
  • Minimum 03 years working experience in HR (Humanitarian organizations/ MNC will get preference).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali.
  • Self-supporting in computers (MS Word, Excel, Access; PowerPoint;
  • Competencies in communication, professional mastery, analytical skills, teamwork, ability to think strategically and able to influence, communicate, cooperate and negotiate with wide range of people and organizations.
  • Flexible in taking extra responsibilities and pressure.

Personal Qualities:

  • Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of RCRC movements
  • Act all times in accordance with CoC.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize, analysis and synthesis large amounts of information.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
