 VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT  Red Cross - Red Crescent (RCRC)  Movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world.   Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a  national society of the Movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the  President's Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December  1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an  auxiliary to the government in the Disaster Management field, BDRCS provides  humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people over the last 50 years and has  undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster  management, health, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent  ideals and principles.  Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for suitable  Bangladeshi candidate for the following position:

            | Job Purpose | : | The Unit Development (OD) Officer will work  directly with the Unit Level Officers and Unit Executive Committees of BDRCS  branches for developing and maintaining an effective planning, implementing,  supervising, evaluation and reporting system in BDRCS-SRC project for Unit  Strengthening. S/he is responsible to link the project with other relevant  Departments within BDRCS, such as DRM, DR, Training, fund raising and Youth  & Volunteers as well as external relevant stakeholders. |  Job Description / Responsibility:  
          Extend       adequate support to BDRCS branches in planning and designing of existing       and upcoming programs/projects for strengthening the branches in line with       BDRCS strategic priority and Dhaka Declaration; work       closely with Unit Level Officers and Unit Executive Committees to       implement the designed project so that Unit can  achieve the target results ; Develop       participatory  tools and facilitate       mentoring sessions for the facilitators group of the community (       Volunteers); Support       to ULOs for preparing Annual Operation Plan (AOP) in each year mentioning       quarterly targets. Support       to develop M&E plan, result based planning (framework), indicators and       tools for different type interventions of the projects like;  Capacity development, organizational       preparation and Resources mobilization ; work       in a team to design and conduct survey, midterm/periodic evaluation,       reviews and studies in Programme; Design       and implement tools and mechanisms to record progress of project’s       activities Support       in strengthening branch capacity of relevant staff and volunteers through       facilitating training and orientations at NHQ and branch level; Perform       as bridge for financial smooth disbursement and execution tracking; Perform       any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by       the line manager/Director; Establish       and ensure effective working relationships with members in the team SRC       counterparts. Ensure effective working       relationships with all BDRCS departments including support services at HQ       and field levels.  Reporting  
          Ensure the coordination, timely preparation and       submission of reports (Monthly, Quarterly Progress Report, Annual report,       Programme update etc.) Prepare       report to donors in collaboration with relevant staffs ensuring compliance       with individual grant requirements. Contribute       to wide Programme learning by preparing and disseminating lessons learned,       good practices and evidence provided by Field team through information       bulletins, operations updates and revisions, programme updates, annual       reports and quarterly reports and ensure the standard formats and       guidelines are adhered to and followed;  Educational Requirements  
          Relevant  University degree in Social Science/English/Statistics/Development related discipline  or equivalent qualification in related area.  Additional  job requirements  
          In good mental and physical health; Training in or experience of  researching and writing narrative reports; English fluent (excellent writing  skills required), Self-supporting in computers  (Windows, spreadsheets, word-processing); Competencies: preferable-RCRC  movements, Results Focus & Accountability, Teamwork, Communications, and  Professional Mastery, Analytical skills, ability to think strategically and  able to influence, communicate, co-operate and negotiate with a wide range of  people and organizations.  Person’s Specifications:   
          Five years of working experience in organizational  development in the Red Cross/Red Crescent and/or other humanitarian organizations.  Experience in planning, supervising, evaluation and  reporting  Experience in planning and managing budgets  Experience in writing and evaluating project  proposals Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work  effectively in a team and respects opinions of others  Works well under stress and works well with deadlines   Application Instructions:
