Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCBL) is a public limited company, currently has 50.41% shareholding held by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, with the remaining 49.59% owned by depositors and other private shareholders. In line with our vision for sustainable growth and service excellence, BCBL is looking for a highly experienced, dynamic, and visionary Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who possesses strong leadership qualities, strategic foresight, and capable of leading the organization with professionalism, integrity, and innovation.

Eligibility Criteria:

a) Educational Qualification: Post-Graduate degree in any discipline, preferably in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields from a reputed university. 3rd class/division or equivalent CGPA in any level of academic exams need not to apply.
b) Experience: Minimum 20 (twenty) years of banking experience, including at least 3 (three) years in the immediately preceding rank of MD/CEO in a scheduled commercial bank.
c) Knowledge & Competence: The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of banking operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management, with a proven track record in strategic planning, business development, and digital transformation, along with strong leadership and communication skills to effectively inspire and lead teams, ensuring sustainable business growth and full compliance with regulatory authorities.
d) Remuneration: Compensation and benefits will be negotiable, and as per the Bank’s policy and regulatory guidelines.
e) Compliance with Bangladesh Bank Guidelines: The candidate must meet the “Fit and Proper Test” criteria prescribed by Bangladesh Bank for appointment as Managing Director & CEO, in accordance with BRPD Circular No. 05, dated 27-02-2024, BRPD Circular Letter No. 12, dated 03-03-2024 and BRPD Circular Letter No. 27, dated 26-11-2025.
f) General Instructions: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Highly experienced candidates with proven target-achievement records will be given preference.
