Assistant Manager, Sales - Care Chemicals

Position Objective

Join BASF Bangladesh Ltd. in shaping sustainable solutions—Where the Chemistry Happens. As Assistant Manager – Sales, Care Chemicals, you will lead the growth of our Care Chemicals portfolio across Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Responsible for business top line, bottom line and volume growth as per annual targets in Bangladesh & Pakistan for Care Chemicals and across specific Industrial Formulators industries for Coating Adhesive Sealant Elastomer (CASE)/ MSA/ Chemical Process/ Home Care, Industrial & Institutional Cleaning/ Oleochemical business.
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with key accounts / appoint and manage channel partners and drive growth for Industrial Formulators and key customers in Home Care and Oleochemicals business.
  • Continue hunting for new business development opportunities and keep building critical mass of business across Industrial Formulators industries and Home Care key accounts.
  • Overall, develop, implement and monitor agreed sales strategies including pricing implementation for Care Chemicals.

Operational & Planning

  • Responsible for the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets and profitability for the business through planning, forecasting and payment collection.
  • Responsible for financial performance to achieve agreed-on targets regarding net sales contribution margin for Care Chemicals business.
  • To represent the business at key industry events to obtain information on market and creative trends.
  • Responsible for efficient management of receivable, DIV, DSO.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, supporting efficient planning of products and services.
  • Company image in general forums – specific to Industrial Formulator industries.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry (BE or equivalent).
  • Experience: 8–10 years in sales or related fields.
  • Technical Knowledge: Background in product and application development is preferred.
