Auchan International SA is a French international retail group and Multinational Corporation headquartered in Croix, France. It is one of the world's principal distribution groups with a presence in 12 countries and 602 employees. Auchan is now seeking a Quality Controller to join its Dhaka Liaison office.
Job Description / Responsibility
Quality and conformity insurance:
The Quality Controller ensures quality and conformity of products according to buyers’ requirements and Auchan’s standards
- Checks conformity of size sets samples on main measurements
- In case of failed lab test, share about possible solutions with suppliers for product improvement
- Conducts Pre Production Meeting with factories in order to check that all the elements are ready and conform to launch the production
- Performs in-line and pre-final inspection to control bulk production on quality and conformity aspects:
- Checks quality of finished goods and report defects
- According to Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), give conclusion of the inspection
- Decide appropriate action plan and give instructions to suppliers in order to reach conformity level
Checking of Status’ accuracy:
The Quality Controller checks in factories accuracy of status given by suppliers to merchandisers
- Verifies sampling status on merchandiser request
- Controls and update the production status of running orders
- Evaluates on-time final inspection date and alert merchandiser if risk of delay in LID
Suppliers management:
The Quality Controller supervises suppliers on their quality management with the target of permanent improvement of quality level.
- Checks that factory maintains quality control reports as per Auchan Dhaka requirements, and gives recommendations for permanent improvement
- Audits and validates prospects and current suppliers on technical and social aspects, and defines corrective action plan
- Assesses suppliers monthly regarding their quality results
- Trains and updates suppliers on Auchan process file
All other special job as assigned by management.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in Quality Insurance including 2 years in reputed buying office.
- Strong background on production process, Quality control system and technical knowledge.
- Technical knowledge in textile sector Knit/Woven
- Knowledge on all products : Knit, Woven & Sweater
- -Compulsory experience in International Brand Buying House / Liaison Office
- -Compulsory experience on performing FRI for International Brand.
Educational Requirements
- Minimum University Graduate in any discipline.
- BBA/B.Sc in Textile/MBA will get preference.
