Seeking Proposals from Qualified Private Sector Partners to Develop Capacity of Regional Partners of WEESMS to Train Micro and Cottage-level Women SMEs on Gender and Leadership

The Asia Foundation (‘the Foundation’) is a non-profit international development organization committed to improving lives across a dynamic and developing Asia. Informed by six decades of experience and deep local expertise, the Foundation’s programs address critical issues—governance and law, economic development, women's empowerment, environment, and regional cooperation—to encourage Asia's continued development as a peaceful, just, and thriving region.

Among its various development initiatives, the Foundation has been supporting the promotion of women’s economic rights and women in leadership role in Bangladesh. Funded by the Embassy of Sweden, iDE and The Asia Foundation have partnered to implement the Women’s Economic Empowerment through Strengthening Market Systems (WEESMS), a five-year programme (2016-2021) that aims to provide greater opportunities for women in Bangladesh labor market across nine districts and 12 Upazillas under the Rangpur and Khulna Divisions of Bangladesh.   

The Foundation is seeking proposals from private sector partner to develop capacity of regional Partners of WEESMS to Train Micro and Cottage-level Women SMEs on Gender and Leadership. Applicants are requested to submit applications via email to country.bangladesh.jobs@asiafoundation.org, at the latest by local time in Dhaka 4:00PM on Thursday, July 18 , 2019.

The application should consist of a:

  1. Technical proposal, that includes the following: 
    1. Consulting firm’s information: Name of the contact information of person responsible for the proposal including email address, postal address and phone number; web address (if available); 
    2. Relevant Experience: Information on the history of the consulting firm and its work related to:
      1. Experience in conducting training needs assessment and training module;
      2. Experience in capacity building of local organizations to provide training, networking, mentoring and coaching support for rural women SMEs.
    3. CVs of key team members 
    4. Samples of past work addressing i and ii under 1b above. 
  2. Financial proposal with a budget around BDT 12,50,000/US$ 15,522 that outlines the fees and associated costs including stationery, supplies, printing and copying. The consulting firm must budget for all relevant costs (including Tax/VAT) and provide explanatory notes.
