Project Coordinator

Project Name: Delivery Primary Healthcare Services to the Rohingya Refugees and Host Communities Project.
Project funded by: Human Relief Foundation (HRF)-UK
Location of posting: Camp 1 E,  Rohingya Camp, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
Types of contract: Contractual
Duration of Contract: Up to 09 February 2024, with possibility of extension.

Job Summary

The objective of the position is to Manage overall relevant stakeholders to implement the “Delivery Primary Healthcare Services to the Rohingya Refugees and Host Communities Project” at Rohingya camp and Host Community in Cox’s Bazar.. The Project Coordinator is a key position in the health team. This position is expected to guide the team, ensure coordination and communication with GOB officials, different UN & other organizations, Health Sector, ensure Community Mobilization, reporting and established Health Post in the Camp and host community. He will communicate and provide leadership role in updating donors on Health activities as well as timely submission of all reports to CIC office, sector, DC office, CS office, ASEAB HO and donor. He will also ensure quality health service for the Rohingya and host community following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National Guidelines. He is responsible for ensuring safeguarding of the health staffs.

Key responsibilities include (not limited to)

1. Project Management & Leadership::

  • Overall responsible for smooth operation of health activities following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National Guidelines in the Refugee camp and host community.
  • Manage and supervise project staff to motivate and build team spirit and maximize their contribution to the project.
  • Develop activity plan and detailed implementation plan for the program period.
  • Problem solving related to the project and agreed responsibilities by making sound judgements using management skills, technical knowledge, good understanding of teams and cost-effective use of the available resources.
  • Monitor project components at field along with training, workshop, meetings al different level and provide feedbacks.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with all the staffs and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of the activities and send the meeting minutes to ASEAB HO and donor.

2. Communication & Stakeholders Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all health-related activities.
  • Communicate and maintain strong relationship with CIC, Sector, local community, RRRC office, DC office, CIC office staff, development organizations and donor.
  • Communicate and participate in the Health Sector meeting and Camp coordination meeting and ensure meeting minutes to ASEAB & donor.
  • Participate in the DC & RRRC office NGO Coordination meeting and ensure meeting minutes to ASEAB & donor.

3. Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Monitor the workflow and efficiency of the Health Post operations.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of patients, evaluate patient waiting times and work to minimize delays.
  • Ensure the Health Post is clean and follows hygiene standards.
  • Assess the quality of health awareness sessions.
  • Supervise patient check-in and check-out procedures.

4. Procurement & Financial Management:

  • Proper utilization of fund as per approved budget and Detail Action Plan
  • Support Finance & Admin Officer to develop and submit Financial Report.
  • Prepare procurement plan and support procurement team to procure on a timely basis following organizational policy.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Ensure Review and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Prepare some special report as and when required such as incident reports, harassment report, case story etc. 
  • Produce quality project reports, prepare all events report and daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and submit to ASEAB & donor within deadlines.
  • Ensure proper branding in the Health Post or any other areas taking support from donor.
  • Produce presentation/briefings of field level data/information for the different visits made by ASEAB HO and donor, relevant Govt. officials and other stakeholders.

6. Relationships

S/he will report to Deputy Executive Director of ASEAB and communicate with donor’s local designated.

7. Required Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in a relevant field. MPH will get preferred
  • Commitment to ASEAB’s and donor’s values.
  • Age limit maximum 47 years.

Required Competencies

  • At least 5 years of working experience and more than 2 years of experience working in Health program in the Rohingya Camps or in Cox’s Bazar or another districts of Bangladesh.
  • Computer literate (MS Word & Excel)
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills,
  • Facilitation skill
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to face workload and good time management.
  • Knowledge and willingness to participate in humanitarian activities.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Understanding of the Chitagonian language/Rohingya Language is a plus.

Salary: 

Monthly Gross Salary will be 50,000/-
