Senior Executive/Assistant Manager – Regulatory Affairs

Job Location: Corporate Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle regulatory issues with different stakeholders like: BIDA, Embassies, MoFA, NBR, Ministry of Industries, Ministry of Fisheries & Livestock, DLS, Ministry of Agriculture, BSTI, MCCI, NCCI, FICCI, DCCI, BTRC, BERC, CC&I, BFSA, IPHN, Bd Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (Science Lab), Atomic Energy Centers, Agriculture Universities etc.
  • Provide inputs related to regulatory matters during the New Product Development (NPD) and liaise with NPD, Legal, QA and Marketing teams in order to give product label or artwork with a clear understanding of the regulatory requirements.
  • Manage product and packaging licensing, permissions and related regulatory approval processes pro-actively with full legal compliance.
  • Preparing supporting documentation for new Marketing Authorizations, advertising and promotional materials developed by Marketing Department and other documents and information as required.
  • Developing and writing clear arguments and explanations for internal stakeholders as well as regulators for new product licenses, variations/amendments and license renewals.
  • Establish an ingredient list for every new or revised recipe as per Bangladesh Food Regulations or International Regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date and track regulatory information on new laws, regulations, internal orders, circulars, SROs, compliances relating to the company’s business.
  • Actively support the business with product-related issues and risk management activities.
  • Foresee the necessary processes and act proactively in order to accelerate approvals, permissions, notifications on regulatory process relating to product, environment, factory facility, marketing communications, sales practices, import, export operations.
  • Carry out stakeholder identification, strategic mapping and relationship building with government bodies, concerned NGO and trade associations etc.
  • Identification and Planning for the Brand protection, counterfeit products for the current and future portfolio.
  • Arrangement and attending regulatory and new law related seminar, symposium, meeting with government body and other stakeholder and coordinate external regulatory activities.
  • Coordinate Food Regulatory Compliance Assessment for Bangladesh production site.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Graduation from any Public or Private University.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Sound Knowledge of the relevant laws of the land and EU.
  • Knowledge of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI)
  • In depth understanding of Codex Alimentarius
  • Good Communication and Negotiation skills are required.
  • Self-Driven and required "can do" attitude.
