To strengthen our continuous business growth ambition in Bangladesh, Arla Foods is currently looking for an energetic and strategic individual for the position of Senior Executive - Electrical & Automation.

Senior Executive - Electrical & Automation

Job Location: Packaging Plant - Konabari, Gazipur

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all areas of electrical engineering & automation in plant, production lines & machinery, utilities & industrial services to optimize the overall process as per Arla Global Standard.
  • Ensure total electrical & automation compliance as well as legal compliance related to electrical operation at workplace and drive them towards adherence to Safety, Health & Environmental policies and practices in order to provide a safe compliant workplace.
  • Ensure LEAN ways of working at the site to deliver maintenance excellence. Ensure, deliver and deploy long term plans to deliver optimum maintenance of process/production equipment, service installations and production.
  • Perform effective troubleshooting & problem solving of electrical control & automation systems in the areas of production lines, utilities & industrial services.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are planned and performed in an optimized way, considered all the potential constraints like Safety Measures, Available manpower, Production schedule, Severity of potential failure, food safety and availability of necessary spare parts.
  • Work towards achieving target and continuous improvement on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by regular tracking & reporting of KPIs and regularly taking proactive corrective and preventive measures with a view to minimizing unscheduled stoppages & breakdown of production lines & machinery through and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure proper troubleshoot of all electrical related problems by understanding the electrical diagram of machines, provided by the supplier.
  • Prepare & regularly update electrical layout design of control & power connections of the system.
  • Responsible for effective planning, successful & timely execution, installation & commissioning, performance validation and controlling of electrical & automation related deliverables of all ongoing Capital Investment Projects at site and ensure that electrical installations in the projects are in line with electrical safety standards & guidelines for Capital Investment.
  • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
  • Provide Input for the preparation of Yearly Engineering & Maintenance budget with justifications. Analyze & control expenses on monthly basis.
  • Ensure food safety and trouble-free production operation through Effective coordination with Production and QEHS team.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.Sc in EEE from reputed Private/Public University with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
  • 3-5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing Industries.
  • Working knowledge & troubleshooting skills on PLC/HMI/SCADA
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
