Position: Officer/ Senior Officer, Purchase

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters in any discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in Hotel & Resort, Retail Store, Group of Companies in Purchase Department.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
  • Having sufficient knowledge of procurement.
  • Good interpersonal skills and relationship building.

Responsibilities & Context:

  • Seeking reliable vendors and suppliers requires a strong grasp of product sourcing and vendor Management.
  • Co-ordination with user receiving purchase requisition & analysis those needs accordingly.
  • Prepare purchase order as per requirement & follow-up with the supplier for on time delivery.
  • Liaison with the store personnel in order to confirm the receipt of goods / materials and to find out any discrepancies with regard to quality, quantity, or any other perimeters.
  • Prepare bills & Submit to Finance & Accounts department for payment.
  • Regular visit to the market to find new vendors & to get actual price of the materials.
  • Forecasting price and market trends and assessing suppliers' ability to ensure timely delivery of products, goods, or services are vital.
  • Maintaining all purchasing-related documents such as quotations, work orders, bills, and challans is imperative.
