Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
Financial Literacy Training: 40%
- Design and deliver interactive financial literacy training sessions for women and youth in refugee camps.
- Cover essential topics such as budgeting, saving, borrowing, and managing income from small businesses.
- Utilize participatory methods to ensure training is engaging and accessible for participants with varying levels of literacy and numeracy.
Market Linkages and Opportunities: 10%
- Support participants in developing market-relevant skills and products.
- Facilitate access to local and regional markets by organizing trade fairs, exhibitions, or other promotional activities.
Training Material Development: 5%
- Develop user-friendly and culturally sensitive training materials tailored to the needs of low-literacy and vulnerable groups.
- Collaborate with the Project Officer to adapt materials based on participant feedback and program objectives.
- Integrate visual aids, role-play, and real-life case studies to enhance understanding.
Participant Mentorship and Support: 10%
- Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to program participants as they apply financial literacy concepts to their personal or business finances.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to track progress, address challenges, and offer solutions.
- Encourage a peer-support system among participants to foster collaboration and shared learning.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: 15%
- Track the progress and impact of financial literacy training and market linkage activities using established monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Collect and document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned to inform program improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal use and stakeholder updates.
Collaboration and Coordination: 10%
- Work closely with the Project Officer – Empowerment and Sustainability and center in chargers to align financial literacy and market linkage activities with broader program goals.
- Collaborate with other team members, including vocational training instructors, to create a holistic approach to economic empowerment.
- Actively engage with local stakeholders, NGOs, and community leaders to advocate for program objectives.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to ensure effective program implementation.
Embedding Feminist Leadership Principles and Anti-Racism Practices: 10%
- Act as a role model by embodying Feminist Leadership Principles in daily work and team interactions.
- Foster team awareness and create a supportive environment for adopting Feminist Leadership Principles.
- Actively promote anti-racism practices and ensure personal and team actions reflect this commitment.
Required Educational Qualification and Experience
Education & Training:
- BBA (preferably finance / marketing) or bachelor’s degree in development studies, Sociology, Gender Studies, Social Work, or a related field. An MBA / master’s degree is an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing livelihood programs and market linkage activities, women’s empowerment initiatives, or similar humanitarian projects.
- Proven track record of working with vulnerable populations, including women and youth, in low-resource settings.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, savings, loans, and small business management.
- Ability to develop and deliver training for low-literacy groups using culturally appropriate methods.
- Familiarity with challenges in market access and economic integration within the refugee and host community context.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor participants and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation practices, including the use of tools to measure participant progress and program impact.
Language and Technology:
- Fluency in Bangla and English is required; knowledge of Rohingya or Chittagonian is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other tools relevant to training and reporting.

- A commitment to promoting gender equality and the economic empowerment of women and youth
Relationships
- S/he will report to Project Officer – Empowerment and Sustainability. S/he will work as a team member in this project.
