Organisational Context:
Aauhri Trust is a social enterprise initiative under ActionAid International Bangladesh Society (AAIBS), recently reimagined to establish a sustainable and inclusive business model. Aimed at connecting marginalised and community-based producers with conscious consumers, Aauhri Trust collaborates with business partners to promote ethical, local, and community-oriented products and services.
Job Purpose:
The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Aauhri Trust through effective sales and marketing, financial oversight, business partner coordination, and compliance management. This role is instrumental in ensuring that Aauhri Trust operates sustainably, ethically, and efficiently while contributing to the economic empowerment of marginal producers.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to)
Sales and Business Development (60% Time)
- Drive sales growth of Aauhri Trust’s services and products and partner offerings across multiple channels including café operations, product lines, and events.
- Identify and establish relationships with corporate clients and institutions for bulk and recurring sales.
- Manage customer relations by providing consistent support, feedback, and service improvement initiatives.
- Work with partners to create promotional strategies, campaigns, and branding efforts.
- Maintain customer databases and track sales trends for targeted actions.
Financial Management and Budgeting (15% Time)
- Prepare and monitor annual and monthly budgets for Aauhri Trust.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile monthly accounts.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and cash flow projections.
- Coordinate with finance teams and auditors as required.
- Ensure timely disbursement of partner shares based on profit-sharing agreements.
Coordination and Compliance (10% Time)
- Liaise with Government bodies including City Corporation, VAT, Tax and Licensing Authorities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that business operations follow applicable business laws, safety regulations, and municipal requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and licenses required for Trust operations.
Reporting and Documentation (10% Time)
- Develop periodic narrative and financial reports for the Chairperson and Trustee Board.
- Provide data and insight to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Maintain clear documentation of meetings, contracts, and operational updates.
- Ensure accurate records of partner engagements, agreements, and performance assessments.
Other Responsibilities (5% Time)
- Represent Aauhri Trust at business expos, social enterprise networks, and local fairs.
- Support event planning and coordination of activities at Aauhri Café and partner locations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chairperson or Trustee Board.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum Graduation in Business Administration (preferably with major in Marketing or Finance)
Experience
- 2–3 years of proven experience in sales, business coordination, or marketing, preferably in a social enterprise, SME, or retail sector.
- Experience in selling services will be given preferences
Technical Skill:
- Strong sales acumen and customer service orientation.
- Competency in budgeting, financial tracking, and business accounting.
- Report writing and documentation proficiency in both Bangla and English.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.

- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
