In Bangladesh, ACTED is launching an emergency operation to respond to the Rohingya Refugee Crisis in the sector of Site Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Community Based Protection, Information Management, Emergency Preparedness, and Response, CDCS in the Camps of the Kutupalong-Balukhali Expansion Site, Cox’s Bazar. |

Key roles and responsibilities |
Qualitative and quantitative research:
- Prepare MEAL plan as per the yearly research plan shared by programme partner
- Develop ToR for conducting quantitative or qualitative research, data collection tools,
- Digitize the questionnaire using online data collection platforms e.g., KOBO, ODK, Commcare etc. XLS coding, translation
- Finalize the tool with feedback from ACTED and programme partner
Capacity building:
- Enhance the capacity of project staffs on data collection, data analysis, data visualization.
- Train enumerators on assessment questionnaire, map packages
Coordination and monitoring of data collection activities
- Work with field staff to design and implement assessment procedures, including coordinating and ensuring timely data collection and analysis
- Facilitate daily debriefings with the teams of enumerators during the data collection period to reflect on the survey processes and identify any issues or concerns
- Contribute to the management of logistics, financial, administration and HR processes related to research cycles
Reporting
- Prepare quantitative or qualitative report, factsheet on time and share with team for feedback
Data management
- Collect project related data from field using digital data collection platform as per key indicators & activities of the project.
- Design, develop and manage database along with dashboard & track progress of the project through IPTT (Indicator Performance Tracking Table). Consolidate operational information on a regular schedule to support analysis.
- Produce and update information products such as reports, charts, and infographics by turning data into graphical products to convey messages and a storyline.
Supporting coordination with external partners
- Manage external coordination with qualitative research partners by providing technical backstopping, logistical support, and field management support as necessary
- Attend and contribute to assessment planning meetings with external partners
- Conduct debriefings and presentations of assessment findings with external partners

Required qualifications and technical expertise |
The candidate must have the following educational degree
- BSC in Information Management, IT, and Data analysis or another relevant technical field.
- Masters's Degree in any relevant field is preferable
|
Selection Criteria |
- Minimum 2-year experience in similar position
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Previous experience conducting field data collection with humanitarian or development organizations desirable
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with both field teams, local authorities, and local communities
- Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as well as the ability to plan, take initiative and organize work independently.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in refugee camp settings and spending majority of time in the field
- Comfortable working in a cross-cultural environment
