| Key roles and responsibilities |
Generator Management
- Ensure all generators are always functional and available to support project activities.
- Carry out generator electrical installation, including wiring connection from generator to the main switchboard (as required).
- Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance and safety checks (alternator, AVR, control panel, batteries and related components).
- Respond promptly to breakdowns; diagnose faults systematically and identify root causes.
- Repair the generator and replace parts when required, following manufacturer recommendations and safety standards.
- Test the generator after installation/repair to confirm proper operation (voltage, frequency, load).
- Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns, repairs and parts replaced.
Solar System Management
- Ensure solar panels and solar power system are functional and performing properly.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance (panels/modules, wiring, protective devices and related components).
- Troubleshoot faults with minimal downtime; identify root causes and apply corrective actions.
- Replace faulty components when required and test the system after repair to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain records for maintenance, faults, repairs and parts replaced.
Electrical Equipment Support
- Provide maintenance and repair support for other assigned electrical/electro-mechanical equipment used for project operations.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, identify root causes and restore equipment functionality as quickly as possible.
- Keep basic maintenance/repair records (issue, action taken, parts replaced).
Spare Parts & Procurement Support
- Forecast required spare parts/consumables in advance based on usage and preventive maintenance schedule.
- Prepare and issue purchase request / order forms to the Logistics Department for necessary parts, consumables, tools and accessories.
- Provide accurate technical specifications (make/model, rating, compatibility, quantity) and support procurement with clarifications when needed.
- Follow up with Logistics to ensure timely purchasing and delivery of critical spare parts.
Monthly Logistics/Technical Report
- Generator Installation/Maintenance & Breakdown Report.
- Solar System Maintenance & Fault Report.
- Spare Parts Forecast & Purchase Requests Summary (requested vs received vs pending).
Compliance, Safety & Coordination
- Ensure maintenance and repairs comply with safety procedures and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with Operation teams and relevant stakeholders to plan maintenance activities without affecting operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance plans, spare parts lists and system reliability measures.
Others
- Any other task assigned by the line manager.

| Required qualifications and technical expertise |
The candidate can have the following educational degree
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Power)
|
| Selection Criteria |
- For Diploma / B.Sc with at least 2-3 years of experience in related field.
- For HSC with at least 4-5 years of experience in related field.
- Short Training / Certification Generator Maintenance & Troubleshooting Training/Solar PV Installation & Maintenance Training/Electrical Safety / PPE / LOTO Awareness
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to travel to the field whenever necessary.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- Fluency in Chittagonian dialect
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments.
- Habituated to extensive field visits.
