Assistant Manager, Automation & Process Improvement

for Corporate-Supply Chain Department

Strategic Outlook of the Role

  • This position leads process excellence and digital adoption across SCM, reducing manual workload, eliminating bottlenecks, and enabling data-driven decisions through strong MIS collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze current SCM processes (procurement, inventory, logistics) and identify gaps, bottlenecks & data issues.
  • Develop optimized To-Be workflows using automation and MIS solutions.
  • Gather user requirements and convert them into clear URS/Functional Specs.
  • Act as the SPOC for SCM in all automation, ERP & system improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with MIS for solution design, development, testing & deployment.
  • Drive project planning, tracking, reporting & User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Lead master data cleansing (Material & Vendor Master) and enforce data governance.
  • Build MIS reports/dashboards for SCM insights and data visibility.
  • Lead/mentor junior team members on process documentation & support.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct user training on new processes/systems.
We Require
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree will be an advantage.
  • 5–7 years’ relevant experience, including 2–3 years in ERP, process improvement, or business analysis roles.

  Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end SCM processes.
  • Proficient in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Advanced MS Excel with solid MS Office skills.
  • Basic SQL/database and ERP architecture knowledge.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) preferred.
  • Strong change management and user adoption skills.
  • Ability to reduce master data errors and improve SCM metrics.
  • Track record of automating/improving processes.
  • Ensures high user satisfaction with systems/reports.
  • Consistently delivers projects on time and within budget.
