Sales Manager (Vegetable Seed) - ACI Seed

  • Develop sales of seed products by implementing sales plans; supervising sales staff.
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Maintains national sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Formulate agenda of monthly sales meeting, region & Area meeting, evaluation of field forces performance.
  • Collect regular marketing feedback with an objective to remain updated about the region by providing strategic guideline for upgrading weak market to get better performance.
  • Regular visit of external customer i.e. DAE Personnel, Regulatory authority, NGO’s and all level of customer to get regular and situation oriented support.
  • Keep up to date information of competitor’s products and ensure fair communication from Customers to Management and Management to Customers.

We Require

  • BSc in Agriculture/Minimum Graduation with 10 years relevant field experience
  • Minimum 10 years practical experience in sales related activities preferably in seed/similar industry
  • Good and effective understanding about market penetration
  • Excellent knowledge about field sales operation
  • Ability to build relationships, coach & manage processes
  • Articulate both in Bangla & English
  • Ability to manage people & team
  • Positive mentality to work with any level of people
  • Good understanding on agricultural sales profession
  • Willingness to travel extensively
