Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is working across 48 countries including Bangladesh. Action Against Hunger begin working in Bangladesh in 2007, following floods in Shariatpur and cyclone Sidr. Since then Action Against Hunger has been working to fight against hunger, undernutrition and responding to humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh with programs in Dhaka, South West and South East parts of Bangladesh

We are looking for a CASH PROGRAM MANAGER DEPUTY who will join our Food Security, Livelihood and Disaster Risk Reduction Department to implement in FOOD FOR PEACE Project.

Under the supervision of CASH PROGRAM MANAGER you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and support the implementation of CASH TRANSFER PROGRAM through Local Partner and providing technical support to the project staffs of local partner for smooth and timely implementation of the projects. As well as assisting your manager in reporting.

More precisely your main responsibilities will be:

  • Implementation of FSL activities including emergency responses.
  • Support CASH Program Manager in the capacity building of local partner staffs for smooth implementation of the cash transfer project.
  • Monitoring of project activities and reporting.
  • Participating in need assessments and surveys; provide support the internal and external coordination.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD:

  • Have Master’s degree preferably in Agriculture, Agronomy, Veterinary, Socio Economic, Rural development, Anthropology, Geography, International development.
  • Have Minimum 4 years work experience in Food Security, livelihoods related projects having cash transfer component preferably with an international NGO
  • Have Minimum 1 year experience in Emergency response
  • Be trained on Cash Transfer Programming and have an experience with USAID projects
  • Have proven professional experience in Project Cycle Management.
  • Have Good command on humanitarian context.
  • Have Good analytical capacity and good communication skill.
  • Have good knowledge on food security, livelihoods and DRR
  • Have an expertise on cash based interventions,
  • Have capacity to work with local partner and good relational qualities and good knowledge on implementing projects,
  • Have good knowledge on program monitoring and training and facilitation skills.
  • Have Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Good English skills (verbally and writing).

OUR BENEFITS INCLUDES:

  • Gross monthly Salary from BDT 93,699;
  • Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year;
  • Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary;
  • Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year vary from performants;
  • End of Contract Benefits - up to 2 months' Gross salary.
  • Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year).

PAID LEAVES:

  • 18 days of paid annual leaves per year;
  • 10 days of paid casual leaves per year;
  • 14 days of paid sick leaves per year.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITES:

  • Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge;
  • Technical trainings at HQ Paris or regional level (averagely 1 per year);
