Action Against Hunger | Action Contre La Faim is one of the leading organization in the fight against hunger worldwide. Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is working across 48 countries including Bangladesh. Action Against Hunger begin working in Bangladesh in 2007, following floods in Shariatpur and cyclone Sidr. Since then Action Against Hunger has been working to fight against hunger, undernutrition and responding to humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh with programs in Dhaka, South West and South East parts of Bangladesh.

We are looking for a CASH PROGRAM MANAGER who will join our Food Security, Livelihood and Disaster Reduction Risk Department.

Under the supervision of CASH Program Coordinator you will be in charge of effective coordination of all CASH program in FOOD FOR PEACE Project:

  • Identifying, designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on CASH programs and handling administrative tasks associated with its programs and provide necessary recommendation for improvement. Capacity building and technical guidance to the Local Implementing Partner staff in order to timely and quality implementation of project activities.

More precisely your main responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute Analysis and follow up the evolution of the food insecurity, market functionality and access in    Cox’s Bazar District especially in the project area.
  • To build the capacity local partner staffs for smooth implementation of the cash transfer project.
  • Beneficiary targeting database development.
  • To set up monitoring mechanism for the project and regular feedback to management for decision-making.
  • To take care of and support the logistical aspects in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the program.
  • Human resource and financial management.
  • Manage activity budgets, control expenditures and report on the same to the respective authorities.
  • To participate in internal/external coordination meeting and ensure timely reporting on project activities.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD:

  • Have Master’s degree preferably in Agriculture or other relevant subject with experience in food security, livelihoods program management.
  • Have minimum 8 years proven work experience in implementing and managing Food security based cash programs or projects in both development and emergency context.
  • Have minimum 5 years’ experience in program management at senior level preferably cash transfer related projects.
  • Have proven experience in project cycle management, especially implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Have good command in food security pillars and understanding on acute and chronic food insecurity.
  • Work experience in partnership with a local partner is an added advantage.
  • Have good managerial and leadership skills.
  • Be excellent in communication, presentation and coordination.
  • Have ability to set objectives in changing context to reach organization’s goal.
  • Have team-building and training skills

OUR BENEFITS INCLUDES:

  • Gross monthly Salary from BDT 131,000;
  • Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year;
  • Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary;
  • Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year vary from performants;
  • End of Contract Benefits - up to 2 months' Gross salary.
  • Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year).

PAID LEAVES:

  • 18 days of paid annual leaves per year;
  • 10 days of paid casual leaves per year;
  • 14 days of paid sick leaves per year.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITES:

  • Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge;
  • Technical trainings at HQ Paris or regional level (averagely 1 per year);
