USDA-Bangladesh Climate Smart Livestock (BCSL) Project
Express of Interest: Innovative Youth Entrepreneurs

The USDA-funded ACDI/VOCA-led Bangladesh Climate Smart Livestock (BCSL) Project is looking for innovative youth entrepreneurs interested in developing business models for climate-smart livestock. Potential entrepreneurs are welcome from rural, peri-urban, and urban areas, as well as students from vocational colleges and training institutes who possess creative talents. The Climate Smart Livestock project will assist these innovators with in-kind support (for example, technological, equipment, marketing, etc.). The project is now inviting applications from youth entrepreneurs, aged 35 and under, residing permanently in 16 districts within the project areas under the below climate smart topics:

• Small business on livestock resources,
• Livestock feed, milk, meat production and processing,
• Livestock feed, milk, meat marketing,
• Cow dung processing and marketing,
• Improved livestock housing business,
• Climate-smart technology-related business,
• Technological business of livestock breed improvement.

**Note that all innovative business ideas must be related to climate-smart livestock, including emissions reduction and / or improved climate resilience for producers.

Twenty finalists will receive start-up support after completing the successful training program. The application form and instructions will be accessible through the bellow link provided, as well as at the Upazila Livestock office in the 16 districts and BCSL project offices in Bogura and Jashore. Completed forms, together with the UP chairman's attested certificate and a copy of the NID, must be submitted by 5:00 PM on January 31, 2025, to the ACDI-VOCA email address RSarkar@acdivocabcsl.org) after being addressed to the Chief of Party, ACDI-VOCA Bangladesh Climate Smart Livestock Project. Alternatively, applicants may submit their completed forms at the Upazila Livestock offices in the 16 districts or at the BCSL project offices in Bogura and Jashore.
