Plan International Bangladesh is looking for Head of Coastal Region and National Programme who will be a key member of  Program management and implementation team, will oversee number of projects in Barisal division and projects having  multi-location/national focus and reach. This position will  work collaborately with key program and functional team ; program development & learning (PDL), Girls Rights(GR) and Operation & system (Sys & Ops) Additionally, thematic leads spread out in different teams will have close working relation to ensure timely technical input to deliver quality program and capture learning.

The Head- coastal region and National program can be based at either Barisal or Dhaka at Bangladesh. The portfolio consists of large programs having national reach and strong influencing action with wide range of divisional and national actors and is responsible for coordinating and holding strategic leadership role in the development and implementation of a coherent and quality programme portfolio spanning multiple programmatic disciplines. H/she will have operational responsibility of   Barisal divisional office including 2 field offices with a local team and regular  visit to project location including Barisal offices  would be critical requirement that comprise 70% of total staff time  

The role

The Head of Coastal Region and National programme is a key member of programme management and implementation team. The post holder will oversee projects in Barisal and adjoining divisions and projects with multi-location national focus and reach. The portfolio consists of large projects that have a national reach, including strong influencing actions, targeting the local and national level.

This post holder will collaborate with members of the programme and implementation, programme development & learning, influencing and operational teams. The incumbent will maintain strong working relations with the thematic leads to ensure timely technical input to deliver quality program and capture learning.

Under the leadership of the Director Programme Management and Implementation, the Head-CR&NP is accountable for the implementation of a coherent and quality programme portfolio spanning multiple programmatic disciplines. The role has operational responsibility for the Barisal Divisional Offices that currently includes 2 field offices. The post holder is expected to make regular visits to all programme location, and to spend extended periods outside of their designated work station.
 
What we’re looking for

We need a dynamic & vibrant individual who brings momentous experience with a Masters’ degree in social science or any relevant field along with 5 years of senior level program management experience in complex projects and programmes. In addition, candidates having Strong representation, relationship building, negotiation; and influencing skills, often at very senior level, both internally (Plan International Bangladesh and the National Offices) and externally will add extra value.
