Job Purpose:

S/he will be responsible to manage all clinical issues of the SRHR program at 20 selected UH&FWCs of Cox’s Bazar. S/he will serve as a technical focal point for HGS Project funded by the World Bank through UNFPA.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Clinical Coordinator will work to accomplish the project objectives and will perform her/his assignments under the overall guidance and supervision of the Project Manager, HGSP, Jhpiego. She will be responsible to accomplish the following assignment:

Project Implementation

  • Work in collaboration with upazila family planning office, Local GOB, IP and UNFPA at the national level and with DDFP, MO Family planning, Civil Surgeon, UHFPO, UFPO, and others at district and upazila level along with Project Coordinator- SRH, UNFPA to facilitate project activities
  • Ensure that the program is implemented in line with the Project Work plan and allocated budget.
  • Work under close supervision of Project Manager for overall project implementation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Technical Coordinator, UNFPA for technical and operational support in implementing program activities
  • Work with operations team to procure and supply of logistics, commodities and MSR as approved in the AWP
  • Ensure expenditure for activity implementation following approved AWP along with adherence to Jhpiego’s policies and procedures

Capacity Development and Mentoring

  • Conduct training need assessment and develop training plan accordingly Organize and facilitate competency-based training for the providers, so that they can provide high quality services.
  • Mentoring of project staffs for their professional development.

Services Delivery

  • Responsible for managing all clinical activities for providing 24/7 BEmONC services at selected UH&FWCs at Cox's Bazar through establishing Midwifery Led Care. She/he will ensure the quality of clinical services to the patient as per the highest standard.

Monitoring and Supervision

  • Oversee the project implementations at the district and Upazila level and provide guidance to field colleagues accordingly.
  • Undertake regular field visits according to monthly visit plans and assist field staff as per project requirements
  • Provide supportive & effective supervision to field staff through undertaking regular field visit.

Program Review and Coordination

  • Organize and conduct periodic program review meetings at district and upazila level.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, specifically who work SRH related activities at district and upazila level.

Work plan Development

  • Contribute in developing annual work plan and budgeting process.
  • Program Reporting
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports regarding her assignment, and will support the Program Manager to prepare quarterly/ annual progress reports and presentations for donor/coordination meetings.

Representation

  • Represent the organization through participation in the meetings, workshops, conferences, seminars, and symposiums as assigned.

Compliance

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. She will act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Safeguarding/ PSEA

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. She will follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Special Assignment

  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor and senior management team.

Key Requirements:

  • MBBS. MPH will be added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in SRHR program management &/or services delivery, specifically maternity care, FP, STI management etc. following standards and SOPs.

Key competencies:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bangla
  • Excellent analytical skills for identifying progress/ accomplishment of his/her assignment.
  • Excellent inter-personnel skills and ability to work in team environment.
  • Gender equality and diversity awareness

Skills:

  • Computer literacy with particular skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Bijoy52, and MS Outlook.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills
  • Excellent organization, and coordination skills
  • Documentation and reporting

Competencies:

  • Ability to operate in a complex organization, across functions and work on own initiative and collaboratively as part of diverse teams
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to the needs of the organization
  • Willingness to visit the targeted areas as necessary to accomplish the assignment.

Monthly Gross Salary (minimum-Maximum):

  • 90,000 - 103,500 BDT
