The overarching goal of the project is to provide technical assistance (TA) to support the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria's COVID-19 Response Mechanism (GFATM C19RM) to install, operate and maintain 29 PSA plants at different hospitals across Bangladesh.

Training Coordinator, RISE (GFATM) - Short Term

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Develop different capacity building training plan of the human resources for operating PSA oxygen plants.
  • Provide technical assistance to design training modules
  • Ensure timely implementation of each of the training components
  • Conduct capacity building training to the project stakeholders
  • Facilitate all training and capacity development programs
  • Provide technical assistance to monitor capacity building activities
  • Conduct field visit based on project requirement
  • Arrange and participate in different workshop and training sessions.
  • Ensure availability and timely delivery of all training materials
  • Considering the program context, develop communication materials related to the training program
  • Assist M&E to prepare project documentation
  • Communicate with the relevant project stakeholders to ensure the participants in the training program
  • Assist to the Project Lead for planning, supervision and monitoring of the training programs
  • Coordinate and assist the trainers to ensure successful training program
  • Closely work with the technical specialist to synchronize training with other project activities
  • Assist the project support officers to make the training program successful.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements

  • Masters degree in any discipline
  • Masters in Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 7 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 30 years
  • 5-7 years professional experience in public sector, preferably Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
    USAID project experience preferred
  • Familiarity with public sector hospitals, preferably Ministry of Health and Family Welfare structure and systems
  • Experience in implementing quality improvement/quality assurance initiatives preferred
  • Familiarity with Health sector program (HPNSDP) and operational plans preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Bengali.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary and multicultural group of colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Creative, flexible, and resourceful and able to cope with logistical challenges
  • Ability to travel within Bangladesh at a short notice.
