Head of Business Intelligence & Analytics

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead in the commercial business strategy development with the knowledge and insights from the business analysis and reporting and develop DBMS strategies, data modeling roadmap, new data source integration plan, resource & skill development plan
  • Come up with smart customer micro-segmentation/personalization with right product recommendation using modern technique of Machine Learning in order to Customer Retention and ARPU Upgradation.
  • Short term and long term strategy development with the objective to generate customer insights based on data analysis and identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Lead in planning and ensuring to acquire, store and update all critical customer data in an organized manner for business intelligence team; supervise and monitor data backup, server storage and set priority for data upload and offload
  • Ensure development of automated process, job functions or techniques for quick analysis; check and control different database access for the team members and data sharing with other departments
  • Contribute to data mining architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies and make recommendations on data mining process and guide application developers/data analyst to extract data relevant for analysis
  • Ensure Preparation of various reports and monitor market wise activities and behavior, quality of sales, regional sales trend, churn customer activity & behavior
  • Develop, validate and guide preparation of reports and analysis on a regular basis; introduce new analysis modality, validate with the head of unit and implement accordingly to generate quality reports
  • Ensure implementation of network experience measurement models to proactively identify the issues of silent customers through KPI analysis for each customer and evaluate customer network experience with Banglalink network
  • Ensure proactive monitoring of the business KPIs, product performance and voice of customers, understand business objectives, analyze the business data, forming new relations and derivations and extracting the maximum amount of valid information content and presenting the business insight with recommendations
  • Ensure the team is equipped with the adequate knowledge; identify training requirements and build competency to develop resources, manage performance of direct reports through objective setting, continuous support and feedback and formal appraisal

Required Academic Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in CSE or BBA in MIS from any UGC approved university

Required Experience

  • 12-14 years of experience in a relevant field

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Insight into the Telecom industry, Competition behavior and understanding of commercial aspects
  • Stimulate a creative, customer-obsessed and value-driven team to maximize opportunities for value creation
  • Sound technical understanding of SQL and databases management
  • Basic product process knowledge
  • Understanding of pricing structures
  • Moderate knowledge of segmentation techniques
  • Advanced understanding of company business and interdependencies of variables
  • Thorough understanding of advance analytics techniques such as Social Network Analysis, Predictive / descriptive analysis, forecasting for churn predictive modeling and scoring mechanism
  • Hands-on knowledge of analytical tools & other company specific applications
  • Comprehensive know-how of DBMS and business analytics
  • Knowledge of best practices in Telecom sector for churn management & market dynamics
  • Excellent commercial acumen and ability to identify and solve varied business problems
  • Demonstrated creativity in developing innovative propositions
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Strong prioritization, organizational and people management skills
